The Herbal Menopause Book

The information in The Herbal Menopause Book is interesting and useful. Amanda McQuade Crawford has many useful tips and suggestions for using nutrition, herbs and aromatherapy to handle your menopause challenges. For example, she suggests that you “grow a rosemary plant and eat one leaf each day, making sure you chew it slowly. Rub the leaves between your fingers while on the phone or reading something important. The next time you rub rosemary leaves or sniff its essential oil, your recall will be better.”

The recipes are not practical for most women. Very few will bother to buy several different tinctures or dried herbs and take the time to combine them to create a remedy that could easily be replaced with an over-the-counter remedy from a natural foods store or the Internet.
