There is a need out there to grab onto something that anchors us, that nourishes our spirit.  We need to build a sturdy inner foundation in order to be more productive and balanced, so that we are better able to handle the stress of our daily lives – especially during menopause.

Time is moving at ”Warp Speed”; therefore we need something to hold onto…..Ourselves!!!

All of us could certainly benefit from daily meditation breaks. These meditation breaks can be done in groups, or simply at one’s desk for ten minutes, or at home before or after work.  The main ingredient is to feel calm and centered as well as refreshed and full of positive energy to handle our day.

When we are feeling calm and centered everything about us improves.  Our digestion, our eating habits and most importantly our energy levels so that we can manage all the demands of our lives while still enjoying them.

Meditation aids in strengthening:

  • Concentration and reducing feelings of anxiety
  • Renewed energy and peace of mind
  • Relationships, both personal and in the work place
  • Feelings of physical wellness

How to Schedule a Ten Minute Meditation Break:

  1. Schedule the time of day that most suits your schedule to mediate, it maybe morning, afternoon or evening.
  2. Set your cellphone or clock for ten minutes.
  3. Sit on a comfortable chair.
  4. Take a deep breath in through your nose and then out through your mouth, do this five times.
  5. Take three short breaths in through your nose and then three short breaths out through your mouth, do this ten times.
  6. In your mind start counting from one to ten and then ten to one, this will keep you centered and focused while allowing you to move into a state of relaxation.
  7. When the alarm goes off it is time to stop.
  8. Check to see how you feel…..
