How to Make a Herbal Tea for Menopause

Many women are pleasantly surprised to find that drinking herbal infusions are all the help they need for an easy transition through menopause.

My recipe is based on a herbal blend that a German naturopath has recommended to mid-life women for many years. Drinking this tea regularly…

  • gently helps your body adjust to changing hormone levels
  • reduces or eliminates hot flashes/night sweats; calms
  • relaxes and soothes anxiety and frayed nerves
  • eases headaches and insomnia
  • helps ease feelings of sadness
  • reduces period pains and lessens excessive menstrual bleeding.

Wendy’s Menopause Tea

 Sage, 1 part

Lemonbalm,3 parts

 Lady’s Mantle,1 part

Walnut Leaves, 1 part

Hops,1/2 part

Preparation: Pour 1 cup just-boiled water over 2 tsp. tea blend. Steep 10 minutes and remove herbs. Sweeten to taste with honey which will help your body absorb the active ingredients. Drink 2-3 cups every day for 6-8 weeks. Stop for at least one week. Resume if needed.
