Best exercise for menopausal women – How to jump for fun, get fit and have a better menopause

This may be news to you, but much about your menopause experience is under your control.

Everything that you eat, drink and do has outcomes, and the best menopause outcome is a result of your best lifestyle choices.

Regular exercise is a non-negotiable foundation to good health, a better body, and it’s vital to experiencing a good menopause!

But, what can you do if you ‘hate’ to exercise or just find it boring?

For me, the ultimate fun fitness machine is a top quality personal rebounder, or mini-trampoline, a fast and easy way to work out at home. This exercise equipment first became popular in the 1980s, and in my opinion it should have taken over the fitness industry! I love it!

Regular use of a rebounder benefits every organ and system in the body. It’s an effective way to improve balance, boost energy, increase oxygen to your brain, fight depression, lower elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and move lymph fluid – important for maintaining a healthy immune system, removing body wastes to detoxify the body, reducing cellulite, it enhances the body’s elimination processes, allows for easier relaxation and sleep, and many other benefits.

Using a rebounder can be beneficial if you have challenges with diseases and conditions such as arthritis, neck and back pain, digestion, immune system problems, hip & knee issues that may interfere with other types of exercise, varicose veins, vision problems, body stiffness and low libido.

I use my rebounder every day for two 10-minute sessions, six days a week. It’s helped me to tighten and tone muscles – especially my abs, upper arms and butt, build core strength, improve circulation, regulate my blood pressure, reduce morning puffiness in my face and fingers, have more energy, reduce muscle stiffness, help with stress management and relaxation, and maintain my weight! Jump on your rebounder when you need energy, not only when you have it!

To keep things interesting while I’m using my rebounder, I repeat my affirmations, watch TV, listen to music, motivational CDs, and podcasts on my iPod. Sometimes I put on old aerobic or dance videos and DVDs and do the routines on the rebounder rather than the floor! I change up my routine, based on the areas I want to tone and develop, to avoid work-out plateaus. I’ve found lots of rebounding videos on the Internet.

A good rebounder costs less than one-year at a health club or six sessions with a personal trainer! And after a year, this fitness equipment doesn’t cost a thing!

I love it because…

… it’s convenient. I use it at home, whenever I want, in any kind of weather!

…It’s safe and trustworthy – the materials and construction of my machine are first quality.

…It’s great for the elderly – including my parents – who just got their own machine! A removable safety bar means people of any age can use a personal rebounder without worrying about losing their balance and falling!

…It’s efficient – only 15 to 40 minutes a day spread into 10-minute intervals is recommended, depending on your fitness goals.

…And it’s FUN. FUN, FUN!!

Rebounding is great for young and old! The key to successful rebounding is to increase your time on the machine gradually. Adults can start with 5 minutes a couple of times a day and increase their time as their fitness level improves. Seniors can start with 2 minutes several times per day, with at least 30 minutes between rebounding sessions. It’s best for older adults to gradually increase their time on the rebounder in order to strengthen connective tissue holding the internal organs in place. This will prevent the possibility of “prolapsed organs” – the only contraindication to rebounding reported in medical literature.

Gently jumping on a mini-trampoline gives inactive seniors renewed vigor and zest for life. A few days of rebounding for a few minutes each time can calm hyperactive children.

For superior weight loss results while using your rebounder, check out the blog posts in the Nutrition category on this website.

Get the best quality rebounder you can afford. Don’t bother with a cheap machine that could cause injuries. Do your own ‘due diligence’, then invest in your health! Choose a reliable, top-quality rebounder that will serve you safely for many years. The personal trampoline I use is called a Cellerciser. I am so confident in my choice that I helped my almost 80-year-old parents buy one for themselves.  For more details, see www.cellerciser.com, then contact me for the discounted cellerciser best price.

As far as I know Cellercisers are only available through http://www.Cellercise.com, which is in the US state of Utah. However, here are a few suggestions:
      1. Cellerciser founder, marketer and distributor David Hall sells at trade shows – you could contact him re: his show schedule.
      2. For the past few years, he’s been doing a 2-hour marketing presentation for the Cellerciser at Peak Potentials’ 4-day seminar ‘Extreme Health’. This event has not yet been scheduled for 2011, so you need to regularly check http://www.PeakPotentials.com for the next date and location. This is where I bought my Cellerciser last June in Los Angeles. I took it back to Toronto on the airplane with me – no shipping costs.
      3. To minimize shipping costs: If you know of someone who lives on the East Coast of the US, you could order a Cellerciser from David’s website and have it shipped to your friend (there’s usually free shipping in the continential US), then have your friend ship it to you in the UK.

      Hope this helps!
